Florida Marriage License

Obtaining Your License

You may obtain a Marriage License from any County Clerk located in Florida. 

Most office hours are Monday through Friday 8:00-4:30.

Please be sure to check the hours and location of the county clerk's office in which you wish to obtain your license. 

What You Need to Obtain Your License

  • Must be 18+ years old
  • Must have a valid driver's license, military ID, alien registration card, or passport
  • Must know your social security number or alien registration number
  • Must know the exact ending date of previous marriage 

Cost of Your License

$93.50 without pre-marital counseling

$61.00 with pre-marital counseling (must provide certificate of completion)

Your license is good for 60 days!

No license is needed for Vow Renewals or Commitment ceremonies

Waiting Period

No waiting period is required for NON-residents of Florida.

If either applicant is a Florida resident, a THREE day waiting period is required, unless you have completed pre-marital counseling within the last year. 

No blood test is required!
